Flare check valves are designed for the high temperature compressor discharge hose to connect directly to the inlet side.
These compressor outlet check valves are used to prevent the compressed air in your tank from returning back to your compressor. This allows your compressor to sit unloaded with out pressure against its valving and to allow it to start unloaded.
